The special Central Bureau of Investigation court on Wednesday reserved its order till October 8 on the bail application of the former Gujarat Minister of State for Home, Amit Shah, in the Sohrabuddin - Kausarbi murder case. The judge, G. K. Upadhyaya, reserved his order after hearing the concluding remarks of Mr. Shah's advocate, Ram Jethmalani.

The lawyer argued that the affidavits files by two key CBI witnesses, Nayeemuddin, Sohrabuddin's younger brother, and Azam Khan, his one time close associate, who have both retracted their earlier statements given to the CBI, should be taken on record in deciding Mr. Shah's bail plea. To counter the claims, the CBI counsel, K. T. S. Tulsi, volunteered to produce the video recording of the earlier statements by Nayeemuddin and Azam Khan.
