The Mumbai police made one more arrest in the August 11 Aza Maidan riots case on Thursday. Mohsin Aslam Kashmiri, a 28-year old junior artist from Malad was arrested from his house.

“He was arrested on the basis of videographic evidence against him,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Niket Kaushik, confirmed to The Hindu. He said the accused will be produced in the court on Friday.

Mr. Kashmiri’s is the 61st arrest in this case. Of the 61 persons, five were released for lack of evidence. The police are looking at the financial trail of the rally. They have so far recorded the statements of more than 10 of the 17 speakers who were present on the dais on the day of the rally.

The police are also looking for those who molested and manhandled women police personnel on that day. So far, the women police constables have recognised nearly six molesters of those arrested by the police.

“We will make more arrests in it. The women are traumatised, we are counselling them. Also, it is difficult to identify and arrest people from among the hordes of men that visited the rally that day,” an officer privy to the investigation told The Hindu .
