Obama visit rules search engine Google

United States President Barack Obama's India visit was widely tracked by netizens today, making his maiden trip to the country the most searched-for item on Google.

According to Google Trends, which provides insights into broad search patterns, Obama's visit ranked as the most searched-for item on search website Google India.

Indians searched for results like ‘Obama visit to India', ‘Obama in Mumbai', ‘Obama Biography' and related topics such as ‘Air Force One', the aircraft in which the President arrived.

The search peaked at around noon as the President's contingent neared Indian shores, the data showed.

Mumbai, which is the first destination where the President has made a stop, was most enthusiastic with the maximum search traffic.
