A local court in Bihar on Tuesday directed authorities to file a First Information Report (FIR) against brand ambassadors of Maggi noodles, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Preity Zinta, besides two officials of Nestle India, Mohan Gupta and Sabab Alam.
Maggi noodles samples have been found by authorities to contain non-essential taste enhancer MSG and high levels of lead. However, the claim was disputed by the company.
The court also asked the investigating authorities to arrest the accused, if it was required.

While hearing a petition filed by Sudhir Kumar Ojha, a lawyer, on Monday, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Muzaffarpur district court, Ved Prakash Singh, had transferred the case to the court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM), Ramchandra Prasad.
The ACJM on Tuesday directed the local Kazi Mohammadpur police station to register an FIR against the five.
In his petition the complainant has claimed that he fell sick after consuming Maggi which he had purchased from a local shop at Lenin Chowk on May 30.

The case has been filed under IPC sections 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 273 (sale of noxious food or drink), 276 (sale of drug as a different drug or preparation) and 420 (cheating and dishonesty).
The Delhi government on Tuesday claimed that 10 out of 13 Maggi noodles packets which were tested contained high quantities of lead. Food safety officers will be meeting the Delhi Health Minister and Nestle officials on Wednesday. The State government is looking at filing a complaint and taking action against the company.
The Kerala government has suspended the sale of Maggi noodles through the Supplyco retail outlets from Tuesday.
