Mr. Navrang and others will be paid Rs 70,000 each for rendering the services.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh already has a full fledged team to project the ministry's work in social media. This includes officials from Press Information Bureau (PIB) under Information and Broadcasting Ministry and his personal team.

Meanwhile, MHA has said Mr. Navrang was not part of BJP IT cell, and he was associated with a private firm engaged by BJP during Uttar Pradesh elections.
