The Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha candidate from Rajasthan, Ram Jethmalani, on Sunday walked out of a TV interview, upset over questions about his rejoining the party he had quit following differences.
Mr. Jethmalani was facing questions from Karan Thapar on CNN-IBN's Devil's Advocate programme when he abruptly ended the interview after lashing out at the Congress.
He was asked why he was joining the BJP now on the eve of contesting the Rajya Sabha polls though the basic differences over which he quit the party still remained unresolved.

He said: “Now the circumstances have changed... the circumstances today are that the Congress is responsible for the poverty of this country... the Congress is responsible for the corruption of this country...” He said he wanted a united Opposition to grow and this was not possible unless the BJP was party to it.
“I am prepared to forgive and forget everything... in the higher interest of India, of the nation and the people of India who are much more dear (sic) to me than you are,” he said, before walking out.
