“The highway that was closed on Wednesday was opened for movement of small vehicles this morning,” a traffic police officer said.

The highway was closed due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall at several places on the 300—km long highway.

“All passengers’ vehicles stranded on the highway were cleared and small vehicles were allowed to move. However, heavy vehicles including trucks have been stopped at Nagrota,” the officer added.
