Reiterating her demand for “toppling” the West Bengal government for what she called “terror activities” in the State, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee alleged here on Tuesday that “an invisible force” was helping the Communist Party of India (Marxist) with arms and ammunition. She demanded a probe into the matter by the Centre.
She blamed the State government of building up “an unholy nexus with a section of biased administration and criminals.”
“With the Chief Minister enjoying his holidays, his job has been entrusted to a few administrative officials, along with a section of the police, who are launching continuous attacks on the Trinamool Congress supporters. Lawlessness and callousness abound,” she said at a press conference.

She said nine Trinamool Congress supporters, had been killed by miscreants supported by the CPI(M) in several parts of the State since September 22 and those police officers who tried to function “impartially” were side-lined.
“We are in constant touch with Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram, and have been sending him regular reports of such atrocities. The Centre has to intervene in this situation or else democracy will be imperilled by the CPI(M),” she said.
