Indigo flight suffers bird-hit

Passengers of a Delhi-bound Indigo flight had a narrow escape when the aircraft suffered a bird-hit during take-off at the Biju Patnaik Airport here on Saturday and made an emergency landing.

All the 154 passengers and crew on board were safe as the Hyderabad-Bhubaneswar-New Delhi flight returned 30 minutes after taking off. The pilot of the Airbus A-320 contacted the Air Traffic Control immediately after the incident and was given permission to land.
