Fodder development scheme modified

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has modified its centrally sponsored fodder development scheme to ensure efficient use of available feed. The modification has been done on the recommendations of the Working Group on Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.

With an outlay of Rs.141.40 crore, the scheme incorporates new components and modern technology interventions including strengthening of feed testing labs and setting up of area specific mineral mixture, feed pelleting and feed manufacturing units.
