ED Special Director gets third extension

The Cabinet’s Appointments Committee on Friday gave a third extension to ED Special Director Karnal Singh, who also holds additional charge as the agency’s chief, for another six months.

According to the notification, the 1984-batch UT cadre IPS officer will continue to hold the additional charge as ED Director for a further period of six months beyond August 19, or till the appointment of a regular incumbent.

Mr. Singh was first given the additional charge for a period of three months on August 19 last year. His tenure was extended in November last year for another three months and then for six months in February.
