The death toll in the German Bakery blast rose to 15 on Sunday as two more critically injured youths died in hospital.
Vikas Tulsyani, a 24-year-old who was in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit at the Jehangir Hospital, breathed his last around noon. He was a resident of the posh Atur Park in the Koregaon Park area where the bakery was located.
He did his schooling in Dubai. A few years back, he, his sister Priti (21) and brother Amit (26) moved to Pune with their father Suresh. His mother continues to work in Dubai and came down after she came to know of Vikas being injured in the blast.

Last year, Vikas had passed out of the Dr. D.Y. Patil College with a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication.
Rajiv Agarwala (23) of Kolkata died around 6 a.m.
Abhishek Saxena who died on Tuesday also belonged to the same group. Rajiv, Abhishek, Sumit Singh, Rushabh Agarwal and Vinita Pathak had gone to the bakery on the tragic Saturday. While Rajiv and Abhishek have died, Sumit continues to be critical at the ICU of the Inlaks Budhrani hospital. Rushabh was shifted to Nashik’s Wockhardt hospital by his relatives soon after the blast, but his injuries are not life-threatening. Vinita was discharged on the night of the blast, as she did not suffer major injuries.

Rajiv and Abhishek received the full impact of the explosion as it took place near the billing counter when the two boys had gone to pay the bill. The other three were closer to the entrance of the bakery. Rajiv, Abhishek and Rushabh were also flat-mates at Nirmal Apartments on the Senapati Bapat Road. On phone from Nashik, Rushabh’s father Ashwini Prakash said, “He is very disturbed by the death of Abhishek. We have not told him about Rajiv’s death yet. He has to undergo a knee operation tomorrow [Monday].” Mr. Prakash said Rushabh would return to Pune in March to appear for exams.
