Death of Prabha Rau, Radhakrishnan condoled

The Lok Sabha on Tuesday condoled the death of Rajasthan Governor Prabha Rau and former Speaker of the Kerala Assembly Varkala V. Radhakrishnan, both former MPs, who died on Monday.

Speaker Meira Kumar made obituary references on their demise.

The House also condoled the death of two Dalits at Mirchpur village of Hissar district, Haryana. They were burnt alive a few days ago. Members observed silence for a few minutes as a mark of respect.

Ms. Rau was a former MLA and Minister of Maharashtra who represented Congress from the Wardha constituency in the 13th Lok Sabha. Mr. Radhakrishnan was a former MP from the Chirayinkeezh constituency in Kerala. He represented the CPI(M) in the 12th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabha.
