Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, who is the head of the police forces that provide security cover for the Commonwealth Games, said on Saturday that he had not received an accreditation card yet for the event.

“I don't have the accreditation card yet,” he told journalists, when asked whether he had any plan to visit the venues and the Games Village.

Mr. Chidambaram said full security would be provided in and outside the stadia for the successful completion of the fortnight-long event that begins on October 3.
