4 killed, 7 injured in cracker explosion in UP

Four people, including a seven—year old child, were killed and seven others injured when inflammable materials stocked in a house for manufacturing fire—crackers exploded at a village in Dhammaur area of Sultanpur district on Monday.

The explosion took place in the house of a licensed fire—cracker maker, Mujju, in Jaitapur village, killing three youths — Islam (20), Chand Babu (18) and Ajay Bhim (18) on the spot, police said.

The seven—year old child, Munnawar, died later in the district hospital, they added.

The injured have been admitted to Lucknow Medical College Hospital and their condition is stated to be serious.
