Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu have expressed grief at the death of the former Editor of The Hindu , G. Kasturi.

In a condolence message, Mr. Narasimhan said Mr. Kasturi served as editor of the newspaper for long with great distinction, shaping its values and outlook. He was known for his erudition and scholarship and was truly a giant, and his passing away marked the end of an epoch.
