Ukraine asks for UN peacekeepers

Ukrainian interim President Oleksandr Turchynov suggested United Nations peacekeepers be deployed in eastern Ukraine.

“Ukraine does not object to a joint anti-terrorist operation with UN peacekeeping forces,” Mr. Turchynov told UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a telephone conversation.
