Remains of more MH17 victims arrive in Malaysia

Remains of three more victims from Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which crashed in Ukraine two months ago, arrived on Friday in Kuala Lumpur, a senior official said.

The remains were those of two teenagers and one cabin crew member, according to Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai.

Mr. Liow, along with police chief Inspector-General Khalid Abu Bakar, joined the victim’s families in receiving the three sets of remains at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said 40 out of 43 Malaysians aboard the plane have been identified by international forensics experts in Amsterdam. Most of those identified have been repatriated back to Malaysia.

Flight MH17, with 298 people aboard, crashed on July 17 in eastern Ukraine after it was suspected to have been shot down by a missile.
