Tenth Afghan killed in protest against Koran burning

At least one protester was killed and four injured in northern Afghanistan on Thursday on the third day of demonstrations against alleged Koran burning by international troops.

The fatality brought the death toll in the riots to 10.

A protester in Baghlan province was killed and four others including two policemen were injured when hundreds of people tried to storm a police station, the district governor said.

People took to the streets on Thursday in the province’s Baghlan-e-Markazi district and tried to storm the district police headquarters, Amir Gul told
