The laptop of the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, was stolen from his Karachi office over the weekend.
According to television channels, some important documents were also stolen from the office. The laptop also had important data. The break-in assumes more significance in view of the elections that are scheduled for May 11.
There was no official word on the break-in from the Election Commission of Pakistan till late in the night.
