Pakistani forces kill 28 militants

Pakistani forces killed 28 militants in the restive north-western tribal region of the country on Saturday.

So far, 152 militants have been killed in counter-terror operations since the Peshawar school massacre that left 132 children dead.

A security official said on Saturday that fighter jets targeted militants in the Tirah valley of Khyber, killing 21 militants and destroying their seven hideouts.

Private TV channels reported that the Peshawar attack “mastermind” Umer Naray was killed in the attack but it was not confirmed.
