Pakistan tests Hatf-IV missile

Pakistan on Wednesday announced the successful launch of the Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile Hatf IV Shaheen-1 Weapon System that can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads over a range of 900 kilometres.

According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations, the impact of today's launch was at sea. Addressing the gathering which witnessed the launch from an undisclosed location, Director General Strategic Plans Division Khalid Ahmed Kidwai said the improved version of Shaheen-1 had consolidated and strengthened Pakistan's deterrence abilities manifold.
