A moderate earthquake, measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale, jolted northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday.
Tremors were felt at 5.52 p.m. Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC), state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
No casualties were reported.
