Britain’s Crown Prosecution was on Saturday considering whether criminal charges should be brought against the two Australian radio-presenters behind the hoax call that led to the death of Jacintha Saldanha, a nurse at the King Edward VII hospital here.
Scotland Yard said it had completed its investigations into the case and “submitted a file to the CPS for them to consider whether any potential offences may have been committed by making the hoax call”.
The hospital believes that Michael Christian and Mel Greig of Sydney-based 2Day FM radio station may have broken the law when they telephoned masquerading as the Queen and the Prince of Wales to obtain confidential medical details of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate William.

Three days after answering the call, Saldanha, was found hanging in her flat.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority was reported to be considering if “broadcasting obligations” were breached by the radio station.
