The Washington, D.C., area has been shaken by a minor earthquake.
The quake hit at 5-04 a.m. EDT (0904 GMT) on Friday and had a magnitude of 3.6.
Randy Baldwin, a physicist with U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Centre, says the quake was centred in the Rockville, Maryland, area.
