Authorities in California say a shooting inside a parking garage at San Jose State University left three people dead, including the suspected gunman.

Authorities do not believe Tuesday night’s shooting was random although they have not released a possible motive.

School officials say students on the rest of the campus were never in danger.

It’s not clear whether the shooting victims and the suspect were students at the school. Their identities have not been released.

Campus police say they were alerted to the shooting on the fifth floor of the campus’s main garage around 8-36 p.m. The six—storey structure also houses the school’s student services centre.
