Republicans have picked up enough seats held by Democrats in the House of Representatives to gain control of the chamber if they hold their current edge in undecided races.
Republicans have won 43 seats held by Democrats and are leading in another two dozen districts. Democrats have only picked up 2 Republican seats, hurting their chances of keeping the party in power. Republicans needed to capture 40 seats to win back control of the House that they lost in 2006.
