An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted central Nepal on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake rocked areas 15 km southeast of Kodari in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal, reported Xinhua news agency.
The temblor, which lay epi-centred at a depth of 35 km, was initially determined to be at 27.8497 degrees north latitude and 86.0595 degrees east longitude.
