Philippine typhoon death toll up to 14

Over 33,000 were evacuated in five regions in Philippines due to the rough weather.

The state weather forecasting agency said typhoon Goni, with maximum sustained winds of 140 km per hour near the centre and gusts of up to 170 kmph, has maintained its strength as it moved away from the country.

Locally known as Ineng, the typhoon is expected to leave the country by Tuesday.
