The U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that the previous Bush Administration was too “unrealistic” in Afghanistan, which the Obama Administration is trying to fix.
“I think that the prior administration was too unrealistic in the way that they treated both our involvement and the number of troops that we put in to achieve our goals and the relationship they built with certain leaders in Afghanistan,” Ms. Clinton told CNN in an interview on Friday.
“So we are trying to recalibrate this, and I think we’re well on the way to do that,” Ms. Clinton said in reference to the review of the Af-Pak policy, currently being undertaken by the U.S. President Barack Obama.

“I think, unfortunately, over the last eight years, there wasn’t the kind of expectation that should have been set for what the United States and the international community expected to be delivered, but we’re going to change that. And we are in the process of working through the best ways to do that,” she said.
