The Alliance Francaise and the Federation of Film Societies of India will co-host a women’s film festival starting March 8, as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
The festival, which is also supported by Navadarshan (film society), will get underway at the Alliance Francaise auditorium at 6.15 p.m. with the screening of Krishna Bibor (The Black Hole - Bengali) by Piyali Shome, following a brief inaugural ceremony at 6 p.m.

The Malayalam film is an adaptation of the short story The third bank of the river by Brazilian novelist Joao Guimaraes Rosa that narrates the story of a boy whose father decides to take an unusual journey into the river.
