Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Wednesday informed the House of his government’s decision to file a defamation case in the Madras High Court against all those spreading “unsubstantiated charges” against the government

Mr. Narayanasamy was responding to a query from Speaker V. Vaithilingam on whether the government intended to move a privilege motion on Centac admission issue, he said a defamation case would be filed in the court against those spreading false charges.

“It will be against all those who spread false allegations,” he replied to repeated queries from reporters.

It might be recalled that the Chief Minister had been openly accusing the Lt Governor, Kiran Bedi, of making “unsubstantiated and false charges with the intent to tarnish” the Puducherry government’s image.
