Staff of colleges demand VII pay panel scales

Members of the Pondicherry State Autonomous Higher Education Institutions staging a protest in Puducherry

The Joint Action Committee of the Pondicherry State Autonomous Higher Education Institutions on Wednesday staged a protest in front of Puducherry Engineering College and five other autonomous institutions demanding immediate implementation of the recommendations of the VII Pay Commission.

Led by P. Parasuraman, convenor of JAC, the protesters demanded that the government disburse the salaries to the employees on time.
