One of the highlights of the festival included a mass Surya Namaskar by 2,000 students from the Achariya group of schools on Tuesday morning.

The students also displayed their skills at balancing yoga poses. “There has been a growing interest among students of the school with around 90 per cent of them attending the optional yoga classes,” said Ravibabu, Public Relations Officer of the educational group.

Programmes at the festival included discourses, workshops and lecture demonstrations covering a diverse range of topics. However, it is the yogasana competitions which have been bringing in practitioners every year in regular attendance.
