A 46-year-old man murdered his wife in a fit of rage at their house at MGR Nagar in Moolakulam on Monday night. The accused thensurrendered before the VAO. The victim was identified as Saroja (40), wife of Devanathan.
Police sources said Devanathan was an alcoholic.
On Monday evening he picked up an argument with Saroja. He then attacked her and stabbed her repeatedly killing her on the spot. Devanathan surrendered before the Reddiyarpalayam village administrative officer Velmurugan. A case has been registered.
