Chinmaya Mission, Puducherry, will organise “Samshti Maha Gayathri Homam” for the fifth consecutive year on Sunday at Surya temple in Krishna Nagar.
A statement said that the homam was performed on Sapthami-Sunday, a significant day for the worship of the Sun. More than 3,000 people are expected to take part in the homan, chanting ‘gayathri mantra’ over three lakh times.
