All India Mahila Congress chief Shoba Oza has exhorted party workers to expose the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre.
Addressing a function organised by Mahila Congress to mark the birth centenary celebrations of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi here on Sunday, she said the NDA government had come to power by giving ‘false” promises to voters.
The NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is into its fourth year, had failed to deliver on its promises. “Time has come to expose the communal the BJP on its failure to bring back black money and provide jobs to the unemployed youth,” she said.

The NDA government was trying to divide people on communal lines, Ms. Oza said and urged party cadre to expose its designs. The country was built by great Congress leaders and the present government was trying to destroy the secular fabric of the country. One of the failures of the United Progressive Alliance government was the inability of the Congress to educate people on the number of welfare schemes it had initiated while in office, she said.
Mahila Congress general secretary Nagma appealed to the party workers to bring back a “‘humane, transparent, secular and tolerant” government under the leadership of the Congress at the Centre.

She complimented the Pradesh Congress Committee for launching a signature campaign to build support for 33 per cent reservation to women in legislative bodies.
Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy, while addressing the gathering, said the late Prime Minister had raised the status of India at the global level.
