Eve-teasing leads to group clash at Thuthipet

Enmity between two groups snowballed into a clash at Thuthipet near Sedurapet on Sunday. The police have registered a case against 14 persons from both the groups.

Police sources said trouble erupted following an incident of eve-teasing on Kaanum Pongal. Police rushed to the spot and dispersed the members of both the groups. Although the incident came to an end yesterday fresh bout of violence erupted after both the groups clashed with each other on Sunday and pelted stones damaging six motorcycles, a van and a mini van in Thuthipet.

Adequate police force has been deployed as a precautionary measure.
