BJP condemns protest

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Puducherry unit on Thursday condemned the protest by Congress leaders against the arrest of Youth Congress volunteers who were allegedly involved in the attack on BJP office recently.

Referring to protest by Congress leaders, General Secretary V. Saminathan said police has taken appropriate action by arresting the volunteers involved in the attack. But Congress leader V. Narayanasamy has been doing cheap politics by staging a protest in support of accused.

In a statement, Mr. Saminathan said the Union Government would not remain passive spectator to protests of Congress cadres.
