Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi has suggested display of relevant information about temples in bilingual format to promote temple tourism.

As part of Ms. Bedi’s weekend morning round-up, she, along with her Raj Nivas staff, on Sunday cycled to Varadarajaperumal Temple and Sithananda Swami Temple.

Raj Nivas, in a release, said the Lt Governor has suggested display of necessary information about temples in bilingual format. She also suggested distribution of narrative pamphlets to pilgrims visiting the temples.

She also suggested to the Commissioner of Hindu Religious Institutions to prepare a directory of temples in the Union Territory.

She also urged temple special officers to form a WhatsApp group to share best practices.

The Lieutenant Governor also visited Sharana Social and Development Organisation, a non-governmental organisation which works with socially disadvantaged students.
