AITUC stages novel protest

Members of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) affiliated to the Communist Party of India (CPI) on Monday staged a novel protest by placing wreaths on autorickshaws condemning the steep increase in petrol and diesel prices.

The protesters, led by Sethu Selvam, CPI State council member, said the rising in fuel prices had affected all sections of the society.
