The AIADMK leader in the Legislative Assembly, A. Anbalagan, on Wednesday condemned the behaviour of arrested research scholar Lois Sofia.
Addressing a press conference here, the AIADMK leader said the way Ms. Sofia raised slogans against the Centre in front of BJP Tamil Nadu unit president Tamilisai Soundarajan on board a flight from Chennai to Thoothukudi was not right.
Mr. Anbalagan said there was a time and place for registering protest or anger.

“You can't in public abuse a politician just because you don't fit into their ideology,” he said.
He criticised Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and DMK president M.K. Stalin for supporting Ms. Sofia.
The AIADMK leader wanted to know whether the two leaders would have ignored such an act if it was directed against their respective parties or leaders.

Teachers’ Day
Stating that the Congress did not have any moral authority to celebrate teachers day, he said teachers in aided schools were yet to get salary.
The quality of education had not improved in government schools.
The students were yet to get free bags and uniforms. Besides, infrastructure development in schools had taken a hit because of the indifference of the government, he said. He questioned the attitude of the government towards minority institutions.
