Annamalai University on Wednesday assigned random numbers to candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (Agriculture/Horticulture), B.E., B.Sc. Nursing and B.Pharm courses for 2016-17.
In total, 11,595 applications have been received for B.Sc. Agriculture, 601 applications for B.Sc. Horticulture, 1,988 applications for B.E, 1,216 applications for B.Sc. Nursing and 1,111 applications for B.Pharm.
Among the received applications, the number of rejected applications was 711 applications for B.Sc. Agriculture, 35 applications for B.Sc. Horticulture, 114 applications for B.E., 78 applications for B.Sc. Nursing and 4 applications for B.Pharm.

On Wednesday, random numbers were assigned to the applicants for B.Sc. (Agriculture/Horticulture), B.E., B.Sc. Nursing and B.Pharm. by the Vice-Chancellor, S. Manian.
Candidates can check their random number on the university website www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in.
The rank list will be released on July 16. Counselling date will be announced later and informed to the candidates.

Admissions on merit
Admission will be made only on the basis of merit by following rule of reservation of Government of Tamil Nadu. Of the total seats, 3 per cent is reserved for differently abled persons as per norms laid down by the government. Merit list will be drawn based on the marks obtained by the candidates in relevant subjects in H.S.C./Equivalent examinations.
Eligible candidates can attend counselling by downloading the call letters from the University website www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in.
Counselling schedule will be available at the University website. No separate counselling call letter will be sent to the candidates.
