Collector inspects railway overbridge

District Collector L. Subramanian accompanied by officials on Friday inspected the railway overbridge on the Villupuram-Cuddalore Road, which remains in a dilapidated state.

A release said traffic was being diverted to facilitate renovation of the bridge.

Vehicles bound from Villupuram to Puducherry, Cuddalore and Panruti would proceed via NH 45, Vikravandi flyover and the Kumbakonam Road to reach their respective destinations.

Vehicles from Puducherry, Cuddalore and Panruti would proceed via Vikravandi Road, Panayapuram, Mundiyambakkam flyover and NH 45 to reach the new bus stand in Villupuram.

Vehicles arriving here from Chennai should proceed via Arasur, Pudukottai and Panruti to reach Chidambaram and Neyveli.
