MPYC president Ganesh Yadav said, “The Mumbai office has high hopes from Mr. Gandhi. He did an outstanding job as president of the Youth Congress, and we hope he does the same as the AICC president. Now, I feel the nation will be able to see him in all his glory. He has always been a very kind and a considerate man, as well as extremely intelligent. He has always believed in the power of youth and has been very encouraging.”

Party workers and Youth Congress leaders attended Monday’s celebrations.

MPYC general secretary Zeeshan Siddique said, “It is a big day for the country. With the rise of Mr. Gandhi as party president, the Congress is ready to set a new benchmark. We can see a trailer of it during the Gujarat elections; it is so evident that the opposition is already feeling the competition.”
