Shiv Sena leader shot at by unknown assailants

A local Shiv Sena leader in Mira Road area neighbouring Mumbai was shot at on Tuesday evening by two unknown assailants.

Anil Chavan, the Sena’s office bearer from Mira Road was in Kashimira area of the city when attackers fired two bullets at him and fled. He has been admitted to Bhaktivedanta hospital and his heath condition is critical.

According to local police, personal rivalry could be the reason behind this attack. “We will register his statement once he gains consciousness,” said a police officer from Mira Road.
