Services on the Trans-Harbour Line on Tuesday were disrupted for a hour and a half at Ghansoli station after the coupling between two coaches broke. The incident took place when the Thane-Panvel local train reached Ghansoli station at 4.15 p.m.
The motorman reported the incident to the railway control room. V. Chandrashekhar, Central Railway PRO, said: “The coupling joining the sixth and seventh coaches broke. No casualties were reported. The problem was rectified and services were resumed by 5.45 p.m. We are investigating what led to the incident.”
