Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut files papers for Rajya Sabha polls

Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday filed his nomination from Maharashtra for the Rajya Sabha elections slated for June 11.

Similarly, the senior Sena leaders and ministers in the State government, Subhash Desai and Diwakar Raote, filed their nominations for the Legislative Council elections scheduled to be held on June 10. Besides Raut and Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, the RS MPs from Maharashtra, whose term is expiring, are Ishwarlal Jain and Praful Patel (both NCP) and Vijay Darda and Avinash Pande (both Congress).
