MU exam schedule falters again

March 24, 2018 12:55 am | Updated 12:55 am IST -

Mumbai: Mumbai University teachers have demanded rescheduling of MU exams following mismanagement of time table. The Bombay University and College Teachers Union pointed out that Third Year B.Sc theory exams had been announced without scheduling the practical exams.

Similarly, two exams of Second Year B.Com were clashing with CA exams again this year. Last year too, MU had to reschedule papers in November for the same reason. Teachers are also worried that some exams could spill into their vacation period between May 2 and June 3 making it difficult to get the results out on time. “The MU has completely messed with our schedule. We stand to lose our May annual vacation as the MU has slotted exams right in May. There is complete chaos as we are expected to complete correction work before leaving for vacations since any delay could hamper students future admission schedules. The second year degree exams are also badly timed from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It could easily have been run parallel with first year’s timing of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.,” said a professor on condition of anonymity.
