Yug Pathak, one of the two partners who owns restobar Mojo’s Bistro in Kamala Mills which was gutted along with 1 Above in last week’s fire, has been remanded in police custody till January 12, while the search for his other partner is still on.

Mr. Pathak was produced before the Bhoiwada court on Sunday which remanded him in police custody for five days. The fire department on Friday said in its reports that the Kamala Mills blaze of December 29 started in the restobar Mojo’s Bistro and not at 1 Above possibly due to embers flying of a coal piece meant for a hookah . Mr. Yug Pathak is the son of former Pune Police Commissioner K.K. Pathak. The other partner is Yug Tuli who lives in Nagpur.

“We sought his custody for further probe into the fire incident and to find out whether all safety precautions and norms were followed by the pub,” the police said.
